AI as enabling technology for Smart cities & Healthcare
As a part of the Sweden Brazil Innovation Initiative, there are plans for a call (open in mid-year) for innovation and research projects to stimulate organizations in these two countries to develop bilateral relationships and collaborate in innovation projects.

AI for Smart Cities
- The city as a platform for data-driven innovation
- Digital twins for cities
- AI for city management
- AI for budget and investment management
With a special focus on; water & air quality, water and sewage management, transport & logistics, mobility of people and goods, citizens involvement - empowerment.
AI for Health
- Sensors, data from sensors (and analysis) in care, care rehab, and prevention
- New technology and new ways of working in care
- Empowerment, increase control over one´s own health/prevention - combine lifelong learning with lifelong use of technology for empowerment / use technology as support in different ways during different phases of life
- Methods for technology development, user involvement, and implementation together with smaller companies (within Digital Health)
- New methods for decision-making aimed at boosting efficiency and accuracy for health specialists.

Funding
In Sweden, for Swedish researchers and companies, the funding agency is Vinnova.
In Brazil, for Brasilien researchers or companies from the State of São Paulo, the funding agency is FAPESP through the PIPE or PITE funding mechanisms.
