Sweden Brazil Innovation Initiative is a broad platform supporting long-term relationships that can enable collaborations and foster co-creation of innovation ecosystems. The main activities are to disseminate information about cooperation, opportunities, notices, seminars and matchmaking.
Since 2016, Sweden and Brazil have a INNOVATION PARTNERSHIP of Innovation (SGI) between the Swedish Ministries of Enterprise and Innovation (MEI) and the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication (MCTIC). The purpose of the SGI is to create conditions for the implementation of the Strategic Partnership. Four large areas of concentration were chosen: Life science (Healthcare), Smart Cities, Sustainable Mining and Bioeconomy.
To improve communication and reach academia, research institutes and especially companies, Sweden Brazil Innovation Initiative (SBII) was initiated by Vinnova. The team of collaborating partners in the initiative is made up of RISE, CISB, the Sweden's Office of Science and Innovation, Business Sweden, Ignite Sweden and EMBRAPII.
